snack break studio is a small collective based out of Seattle, WA. We make comics, illustrations and zines of all flavors!

We have a risograph, handheld perforator, two metal rulers, sewing machine, and lots of embroidery needles :)

Mixtape Cassette Zine (2023)

The Mixtape Cassette Zine is a collection of fifteen accordion zines by different artists packaged in a clear cassette case. Every participant created a playlist, then designed a 4"x2.75" zine version of the playlist, with each page corresponding to a song.

ABC Cooking (2023)

ABC Cooking is five recipes of Chinese home-cooking recorded over 24-pages. Its cover is a two color silkscreen print.

sky/sea (2023)

An 8-page booklet alternating blue and white pages. Each page is a solid color and uses the color of the page behind it to create the impression of a seascape. Risograph printed, hand-cut, hand- bound.

Flower Patrol (2023)

A collection of three mini mini zines with one bookmark of Flower Patrol glaring at a random character. Each zine is an installation of Flower Patrol trying to govern over creatures it has no control over.

I Spy Zine (2022)

A collaboration between six artists, with each artist creating an illustrative I Spy spread for this sixteen-page booklet. The back cover provides a checklist of items across all illustrations, and the cover is a metapuzzle of bonus objects to be found in the book.

Vivian is a comics artist, illustrator, basketball pro, and expert chef currently living in Seattle. She can be found wearing the color yellow, often in or near the water (very like a duck), equipped with watercolors and a camera (not like a duck). Vivian tells funny, charming, and kind stories about occurrences both everyday and fantastic.

Vivian likes fruits and hates carrots.

If you see Vivian, ask her to dunk! She can do it! If she says no, she is lying.

Shannon is not a ghost (probably). Shannon has two other things that live in her house. Shannon wears glasses, owns a kayak, and likes pointy trees. She is good at drawing non-moving things (rocks + bus stops) and moving things (trees and rivers) and extra moving things (people, even though she doesn't like it).
